Reception for Director Øzkan Güleryüz

On Friday, November 1st, we held an official reception for the new Director of the European School Copenhagen, Øzkan Güleryüz.

The canteen was set up with decorative flowers as well as refreshments for the invited guests, including the school’s staff, the board, and partners from neighbouring gymnasiums, schools, European Environment Agency, and the Municipality of Copenhagen, among others.

Øzkan welcomed all the guests at the reception. Then speeches followed by Kate Obeid, district manager in the Municipality of Copenhagen, Madelaine Kirk, the Head of Lower Secondary, as well as from the ESCPH Parents Association.

Staff had made a video for Øzkan that was revealed at the occasion, where both children and staff from the whole school welcomed him to ESCPH in their own languages.

Øzkan Güleryüz assumed the position of Director of the European School Copenhagen on August 1st, 2024.
