Applying for Secondary 5 (1.g) in the coming school year

If you would like to submit an application for admission to Secondary 5 in the coming school year, you must apply via the Danish Government website between February 15th and March 13th like you do for other Danish gymnasiums/upper secondary schools. As we are an international school, you find us on the list of ‘internationale gymnasiale uddannelser’ and ‘European Baccalaureate’. If the deadline has passed, please give us a call on +45 3614 0190 to see if have more available spaces. There are currently a few vacancies in Secondary 5 in 2022/23.  

On, you can either log in with your UNI-Login or your Nem-ID. If you don’t have either of these log-in options, it is possible to apply in without a NemID, but we recommend that you contact us first so we can guide you. We have also created a step-by-step guide to in English.

Please remember to upload a motivation explaining why you wish to attend the European School Copenhagen (max 300 words).

To be admitted in our upper secondary school/gymnasium, you must meet the general requirements for admission to a Danish STX/Gymnasium as well as our language criteria. You find the admission criteria here along with a list of the documentation to be submitted with your application.

If you meet the criteria for admission, you will be invited to a written test in the language of the section you have applied for (English or Danish), mathematics and the language you have chosen as your first foreign language/L2 (English, German or French).
