Meet Øzkan Güleryüz, the new director of ESCPH
We are delighted to welcome Øzkan Güleryüz as the new director of European School Copenhagen.
Øzkan joins us from Københavns Professionshøjskole, the Institute for Teachers’ Education, where he has been a member of the management group and responsible for strategic planning and development, administrative operations, and collaboration with external stakeholders.
Øzkan has a teaching background in the Upper Secondary in the IB programme at Birkerød Gymnasium, where he taught French and PE. After this, he was the Deputy Head at Sorø Akademi for several years.
Whole school approach
Øzkan has shown vital competences of an inclusive and collaborative management style during the hiring process. He has also emphasised his preoccupation with a whole school approach which he is excited to bring to the European School Copenhagen.
Our new director is looking forward to working with the school’s values to which he also brings his keen interest in working in our multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment – and with the European dimension.
Øzkan says: “I am curious of how we can collaborate on communities where respect, empathy and responsibility is the focal point.”
Please join us in welcoming Øzkan!
