New deputy director appointed
We are very pleased to announce that Julie Rørdam Thom will join the European School Copenhagen as Deputy Director starting March 1st, 2020.
Julie has extensive experience in the operation and development of a high school. She comes from a position as Head of Educational Development (Pædagogisk Udviklingschef) at Rysensteen Gymnasium, a high school with an international profile and a high academic level. She is educated both as a primary school teacher and as a high school teacher, and therefore understands the learning processes and pedagogy in all year levels.
Julie is a visionary leader with strong intercultural understanding and focus on the students’ learning and well-being. We are confident that she will continue to develop the European School and provide a clear direction with the rest of the school’s management team.
When Julie commences her new role, her first focus will be on the day-to-day management of the secondary department and the opening of the upper secondary classes.
On behalf of the Recruitment Committee,
Anette Holst
Director of the European School Copenhagen and Sankt Annæ Gymnasium
